The cudgel (or long pole) was first used by Shaolin monks to carry two water buckets across the shoulders. During outbreaks the monks would remove the long pole and used it as an apparatus to defend themselves. At Golden Lion Academy the cudgel is the first weapon taught to a student.
Easy to handle and control, the cudgel techniques improves coordination, strengthens shoulders, arms and wrists.
In a self defence situation at home or in the street, a broom stick or umbrella easily duplicates the techniques of the applications of the cudgel such as twirling, whipping and poking.
This school holiday program has been specifically designed so that regardless of whether you’re a student of Golden Lion Academy, or someone who has never attended a martial art class before, you’ll come away with a new and consolidated skill set!
For just $75.00. Your child will achieve a great sense of accomplishment with Master Richard from this workshop.
Your child will experience an exclusive program that will improve their confidence in using the cudgel during class or on their next belt examination.
