Description
The best of all four styles were taken and combined, taking care not to lose the spirit and flow of the routine. It retains the softness, smoothness and circular movements, all so important to the integrity of Tai Chi Chuan, whilst slowing down and speeding up according to the style being focused on.
Chen Style is characterised by sinuous, powerful ‘silk-reeling’ movements and variations in pace from slow to explosive. Yang Style features rounded, smooth and expansive movements, performed at a constant, flowing pace. Wu Style is comfortable with upright or forward-leaning movements and encourages internal focus. Sun Style is characterised by quick and dexterous advancing or retreating steps.
